Little Gems is a long day care centre on Taylor Street, caring for children from 18 months to 6 years. Our educators take the time to give each child real attention and understand the routines, interests and experiences they bring from home.

Familiar before their first day

Guided by the Early Years Learning Framework
Our programme follows Australia’s national framework for early childhood: Being, Belonging and Becoming. It enriches children’s learning from birth to five and recognises that relationships with family, community and culture shape how children learn and grow.
Getting ready for big school
Long day care for children 18 months to 6 years, from 2 to 5 days a week, building the skills and confidence children need for school.

How much does it cost, and can I get government help?
Our team can talk you through current fees, Child Care Subsidy and enrolment options, so you have the information you need before making a decision.
How does my child settle in before starting?
Two settling visits are included before your child’s first day. You stay with your child while they meet the educators, explore the rooms and get used to the routine, so day one already feels familiar.
What ages and attendance options are available?
Little Gems cares for children from 18 months to 6 years. Enrolments start from two days a week, with three, four and five-day options available.
What does my child need to bring?
We’ll provide the current packing list during enrolment, including any food, clothing and rest-time items needed for your child’s room.
How do I enrol or join the waitlist?
Start with a visit. You’ll tour the centre and go through everything with us in person. If we’re full, you can join the waitlist and we’ll contact you as soon as a place opens up. See the enrolment process →
